Ok Guys, so it's been awhile! Been laying low since Dad died in December and been neglecting a lot of stuff including these pages! Anyhoo .. back now with a vengence!
Started training in January for a triathlon which was held last month. Finished 4 mins faster than expected in 1hr and 11mins. Very pleased with myself. In the swim phase, that's me with the black wetsuit and yellow cap! Was awesome feeling to finsh .. can't wait to do another one but will wait until next summer when the water is warm!!
Aimee came to stay which was fun .... the two of us drove Andy mad! Other than that, just been enjoying the Hawkes Bay summer.

Friends came over from England to renew thier wedding vows ..... wedding was in Queenstown on 20 December, which was aboslutely beautiful but bloody cold!!

I have a thing with sunsets, and even tho my camera's not hugely expensive, it seems to do the job rather nicely! Captured these beautiful sunset views during December ... weather just starting to warm up although had some real bizarre days as this sunset shows!

Birthday!

Birthday's come but once a year .. thankfully! Had a fab day surrounded by friends .... Yay for presents! Lunch at the Mission Winery and then home to play on the new Dance Mat (thanks Kylie) and Playstation 2 (thanks Husband) !!!
Was a bit sad without my Dad especially getting the birthday card signed just by Mum .....

Dad's Funeral
|
|
Dad finally gave up his fight with cancer on 5 December 2004, surrounded by his family. He fought right up to the bitter end and we knew he did not want to go. His funeral was held on 8 December and we were all amazed at how many cards, flowers and blessings we received.
Not a day goes by when he is not in my thoughts and I miss him terribly.
This is just a selection of photos from our time with him ......

My Mountain!

I was born in Stratford, in the shadow of Mt Egmont and every time I drive back to New Plymouth to visit mum and dad and see the mountain in all it's glory, I feel like I am home. Spent a fair few weeks of my life walking various tracks, but never managed to make it to the top!
This is where they filmed parts of Tom Cruise's movie 'The Last Samurai'.

Horses!

Always loved them, always will. Nothing better than a gallop in the fresh air on a horse you love and trust. Unfortunately too many falls means by body doesn't enjoy it as much as I do!! More photos to come!!
Toby was famous and used in the New Zealand movie 'Vigil' filmed in the 80's.
